Baltimore County is seeking a Civic Engagement Fellow for the Office of Immigrant Affairs. This part-time, 12-month role supports expanding immigrant civic leadership and participation in County government, collaborating with agencies, organizations, and educators.

The fellow will help build programs, recruit participants, and develop multilingual outreach while reporting to the Chief of the Office of Immigrant Affairs to advance community leadership and civic knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Experience or demonstrated interest in civic engagement, community organizing, public service, immigrant affairs, public policy, nonprofit work, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to relate to diverse communities.

Responsabilités

• Design and launch the New American Civic Leadership Academy cohort.
• Develop civic education and leadership curriculum covering local government structure and participation.
• Support recruitment, communications, logistics, speakers, and program activities.
• Build partnerships with community organizations, educational institutions, and County agencies.
• Create multilingual outreach materials and strategies to reach diverse residents.
