Baltimore County Government seeks a Civic Engagement Fellow to help design and launch programs that build immigrant inclusion and community leadership.

The part-time, 12-month fellowship will develop leadership opportunities, expand civic participation, and create pathways for residents to engage with County government. Collaboration with the Office of Immigrant Affairs and partners is central.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a field related to public administration, civic engagement, or public service.
• Experience or interest in civic engagement, community organizing, public service, immigrant affairs, or related fields.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to build relationships with diverse communities.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficiency with common office technology and virtual engagement platforms.

Responsabilidades

• Design and launch the New American Civic Leadership Academy.
• Develop a civic education and leadership curriculum about county government and public participation.
• Support participant recruitment, communications, training logistics, speakers, and activities.
• Develop partnerships with community organizations, educational institutions, County agencies, and subject matter experts.
• Assist participants in applying civic knowledge and leadership skills.
• Support multilingual town halls, listening sessions, and outreach activities.
• Identify effective approaches for gathering community input and connecting residents with County government.
