About the Position

Nevada Women’s Fund is seeking an organized, relationship-driven and highly motivated Development & Events Manager to join our small, collaborative, mission-driven team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who enjoys bringing people together, building meaningful relationships, creating memorable events, and helping turn generosity into opportunity for women across Nevada.

This position manages events from concept through execution, evaluation, and follow-up while also supporting donor stewardship, sponsorship development, annual giving, development communications, database management, and fundraising reporting.

What You’ll Do
Lead Events & Create Experiences

You will serve as the primary staff lead for Nevada Women’s Fund fundraising, donor cultivation, recognition, and stewardship events.

  • Lead events from initial concept through execution, evaluation, and post-event follow-up.
  • Develop and manage event plans, timelines, budgets, checklists, and deadlines.
  • Work closely with speakers, honorees, sponsors, Board members, volunteers, vendors, and community partners.
  • Manage event registration, guest lists, attendance, seating assignments, and event data.
  • Oversee event-day execution and serve as a primary staff contact.
  • Manage sponsor recognition and fulfillment.
  • Conduct post-event evaluation and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain the annual fundraising and stewardship event calendar.
Build Donor Relationships

Donors are at the heart of our work, and this role helps ensure they feel informed, appreciated, and connected to the impact of their support.

  • Coordinate donor acknowledgments, recognition, invitations, updates, and engagement opportunities.
  • Support donor cultivation and retention strategies.
  • Assist the President & CEO and Board members with donor meetings, outreach, and special engagement.
  • Support annual giving campaigns, fundraising appeals, and donor communications.
  • Ensure donor commitments, recognition, benefits, and follow-up are completed accurately and on time.
Grow Sponsorships & Partnerships

You will help build and strengthen relationships with businesses, corporations, and community partners by:

  • Developing and maintaining sponsorship opportunities and materials.
  • Researching and identifying prospective sponsors.
  • Coordinating outreach, proposals, agreements, payments, recognition, and fulfillment.
  • Maintaining accurate sponsorship records and deadlines.
  • Ensuring sponsor benefits are delivered as promised.
  • Supporting sponsor communications and renewal efforts.
Keep Development Operations Strong

Behind every successful event and donor relationship is great organization.

  • Maintain accurate donor, prospect, sponsor, event, and stewardship records.
  • Assist in recording gifts, pledges, sponsorships, event participation, and donor interactions.
  • Coordinate timely gift acknowledgments.
  • Generate fundraising, donor, sponsorship, and event reports.
  • Assist with reconciliation of gifts, sponsorships, event revenue, and expenses.
  • Maintain organized development records and recommend improvements to systems and processes.
Tell the Story of Impact

Working closely with the President & CEO and Director of Marketing & Communications, you will help bring Nevada Women’s Fund’s impact to life through:

  • Newsletters and donor updates
  • Invitations and event communications
  • Sponsorship materials
  • Donor and sponsor communications
  • Stories that demonstrate the impact of donor support

You’ll help ensure development communications are timely, accurate, compelling, and consistent with NWF’s mission, voice, and brand.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Financially and analytically minded, with experience managing budgets and tracking revenue and expenses.
  • A problem solver who looks for ways to make systems and processes better.
  • Comfortable working with donor databases/CRMs and event registration platforms.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and energized by working as part of a small team.
  • Discreet and trustworthy when handling confidential donor and organizational information.
Experience & Qualifications
Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, marketing, communications, hospitality, public administration, or a related field.
  • At least three years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, event management, donor relations, sponsorships, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and executing events from concept through completion.
  • Experience working directly with donors, sponsors, Board members, volunteers, vendors, and community partners.
  • Experience with donor stewardship, fundraising campaigns, sponsorship development, and development operations.
  • Experience with donor databases/CRMs and event registration systems.
  • Experience developing and managing event budgets.
  • Ability to work effectively in a small office environment with minimal supervision.
  • Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required by the fundraising and stewardship calendar.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Technology

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with development and event technology platforms is expected. Experience with systems such as Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, AwardSpring, Canva, Jotform, Givebutter, Flodesk, Adobe, and event registration platforms is helpful.

Work Schedule

Compensation

Salary Range: $70,000–$80,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
