Job summary

The Nevada Coalition of Legal Service Providers offers an externship to support legislative priorities, create one-pagers, track bills, meet with stakeholders and lawmakers in Carson City. You will track committees, review legislation, and help formulate policy positions on proposed laws, under supervision of the Coalition's Statewide Advocacy Director.

Qualifications

• Second-year or third-year law students who can commit through the conclusion of the Legislative Session (early June).
• Third-year students who are available only through graduation (mid-May).
• Successful completion of the full-time first year course curriculum prior to the first day of placement.

Responsibilities

• An extern will work on the Coalition's legislative priorities: creating one-pagers, tracking legislation, meeting with stakeholders and legislators, tracking committees, reviewing legislation, and assisting in formulating policy positions on legislation.
