Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four years of directly related labor relations experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.
• Two years of experience conducting or facilitating discipline hearings or related proceedings in a railroad or heavily unionized environment.
• Experience interpreting collective bargaining agreements and producing notices, findings, or appeal documents.
• Knowledge of labor relations, discipline, grievance handling, and contract administration.

Responsabilités

• Prepare for and conduct discipline hearings.
• Review charges and hearing notices; confirm timelines, representation, and notices.
• Open and preside over proceedings; preserve neutrality and order; receive testimony and evidence.
• Rule on procedural matters; question witnesses; ensure record accuracy.
• Coordinate hearing dates, locations, participants, and transcripts.
• Maintain confidential case files and route records to decision authorities.
• Promote safe work practices and maintain a safe work environment.
