Job summary

The Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) seeks a Neurosurgeon at Assistant, Associate, or Full Clinical Professor level to join the Neurotrauma program. Applicants should have strong interest in neurotrauma and contribute to the expanding world-class program in traumatic brain and spinal cord injury at UCSF.

Qualifications

• Board eligible/board certified by ABNS.
• Must have or be eligible for California medical license by start date.
• Experience and excellence in general neurosurgery with ability to cover pediatric trauma emergencies.
• Interest in neurotrauma, spine trauma, and neurocritical care during training or fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Elective neurosurgery duties and shared trauma call at ZSFG and affiliate sites.
• Participation in ongoing clinical and translational research at UCSF Brain and Spinal Injury Center.
• Opportunities to develop independent basic, translational, and clinical research.
• Teaching of medical students, residents and fellows.
