The UCSF neurotrauma program is based at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) with additional sites in the Bay Area including Oakland and Marin. Responsibilities include elective neurosurgery, shared trauma call at ZSFG and affiliate sites, and participation in a variety of ongoing clinical research studies and translational research programs at the UCSF Brain and Spinal Injury Center. There are also opportunities to develop independent basic, translational, and clinical research efforts. Other responsibilities include the teaching of medical students, residents and fellows.
