Job summary

Sanmai is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and evolve the software architecture behind our neurotechnology platform, spanning internal tooling to production-ready application and firmware code. You will own software verification and validation to ensure compliance with medical device standards, collaborating across engineering, clinical, and regulatory teams in multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Leadership in software architecture and implementation.
• Experience driving V&V in ISO 13485.
• Strong proficiency in Python, C++, Qt 6 SDK, and PySide6 with OO design.
• Comfortable across Windows and Linux with build/CI tooling (Make, CMake, Jenkins) and Bash.
• Understanding of Secure Boot (Intel CPUs).
• Knowledge of databases and software design patterns.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, and XRay.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable applications and firmware meeting performance, safety, and regulatory needs.
• Contribute to system architecture and lead software design reviews.
• Build and maintain internal tools that streamline operations.
• Own software V&V activities, incl. white-box testing per ISO 13485.
• Collaborate with quality/regulatory teams to support audits and filings.
• Work in an agile process with cross-functional teams.
