Job summary

Subsense Inc. is hiring a hands-on hardware engineer to design electronics for neurotechnology and medical-device systems.

You will take hardware from early concepts through characterization and preparation for manufacturing, working with neuroscience, mechanical engineering, and software teams. You will build analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits, develop test setups, and help translate requirements into electrical specifications like operating frequency, power, timing, and channel

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent practical experience in EE/biomedical engineering.
• Hands-on electronics experience for medical devices or neurotechnology.
• Strong analog and mixed-signal design skills, power electronics, signal integrity, grounding, noise reduction.

Responsibilities

• Design drive, control, and interface electronics for neurotech and medical-device systems.
• Develop analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits with board bring-up and debugging.
• Translate requirements into electrical specs including frequency, power, timing, synchronization.
• Integrate transducers and sensing hardware with power, embedded controllers, and software.
• Build automated test setups to characterize electrical performance and thermal behavior.
• Coordinate with acoustics to correlate electrical and acoustic outputs.
• Implement monitoring, fault detection, and protective circuitry.
• Document decisions, test methods, and verification results; support risk analysis.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing for reliability.
