Job summary

Neuralink seeks a Mechanical & Robotics Engineer to design and produce hardware for our assistive robotic arm and brain-computer interface devices. You will own projects from concept to production, collaborating with clinicians, neuroscientists, and engineers to meet ambitious goals.

You will apply mechanical engineering fundamentals, solve complex design challenges, and contribute to rapid prototyping through manufacturing release, with equity compensation included for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or Mechatronics (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical engineering industry experience, including ownership of products from concept to production.
• Proficient in 3D CAD.
• Strong understanding of engineering first principles and fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate robot mechanical and electrical components emphasizing usability and safety.
• Collaborate with clinical trial participants, neuroscientists, biologists, and engineers to set design criteria.
• Rapidly build systems to meet project goals and drive device launch from prototyping to manufacturing release.
• Apply analytical methods and simulations to optimize structures and components.
