Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Jersey Shore University Medical Center team. You will provide evidence-based nursing care, work with a multidisciplinary team, and support safe medication administration.

The role requires NJ nursing license, BLS/CPR, ACLS, NIHSS, telemetry and critical care experience. BSN in progress or willingness to pursue within 3 years is preferred. Competitive starting rate is posted and comprehensive rewards are offered.

Qualifications

• New Jersey nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience.
• ACLS certification required.
• NIHSS certification required.
• Telemetry certification required.
• BSN in progress or willingness to pursue within three years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care per evidence-based policies to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients and care teams about status and plans.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Document patient assessments and care plans in the Point-of-Care system.
• Educate patients and families to optimize health and disease management.
• Coordinate safe patient discharges and transitions of care.
