Job summary

Owensboro Health Medical Group in the Surgery Neurological department is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care under physician supervision. This 1.0 FTE role involves patient history, assessments, orders and interpretations of diagnostics, and coordination of care with OR support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies required.
• Kentucky licensure as a Physician Assistant required upon hire.
• NCCPA certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and perform assessment.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic procedures.
• Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions.
• Counsel and educate patients and families about prevention and treatment options.
• May perform preventive health assessments and immunizations.
