Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC) to join a growing neurosurgery and spine team. Provide comprehensive care across the surgical continuum—in OR, inpatient, and outpatient settings with neurosurgeons and the care team.

Requires master's degree in nursing or ARC-PA accredited PA program, Texas licensure, ACLS/BLS, and preferred neurosurgery, neurology, or spine experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing with Texas Board of Nursing authorization.
• ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program graduate.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care across the surgical continuum—in OR, inpatient, and outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with neurosurgeons and care team for rounding and patient management.
• Ensure smooth transitions and high-quality patient experience.
• Document exams, order/interpret diagnostics, and develop evidence-based care plans.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and program development.
