Job summary

Qualifications

• Twelve months registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment.
• RN - Texas State Licensure with PSV compact requirement; must obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days if establishing residency.
• BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA).
• NIHSS Stroke Scale Certification (AHA) within 4 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and provide direct patient care.
• Assist with exams, treatments, and education; maintain medical records.
• Lead unit initiatives; serve as charge nurse or preceptor to students or new employees.
