Job summary

Southern Neurosurgery in Gainesville, GA is hiring a Registered Nurse for a full-time day shift. You will assess patients, plan and implement care, and support the surgical team in a fast-paced setting. Requires ADN with current RN license and BLS; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

ADN required; BSN preferred and considered an asset.
Current RN license in good standing and BLS certification.
Knowledge of nursing standards and Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

Assess patients, obtain nursing histories, monitor vital signs and changes.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Communicate with patients, families, physicians, and team members.
Provide safe, therapeutic care per policies and protocols.
Document assessments and outcomes in the EMR.
Prepare the OR and assist surgeons with instruments when in surgical setting.
Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures and uphold infection control.
Operate C-Arm/fluoroscopy under surgeon guidance when required.
Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education.
Perform other duties as assigned.
