Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Neurosurgery Physician Assistant (PA) for locum tenens support in California. The role includes managing new patient consults, pre-operative evaluations, H&P, inpatient rounding, surgical assisting, discharges and post-operative follow-ups across clinic and hospital settings.

Requirements include NCCPA certification, BLS, and DEA license, with about 90 days credentialing. Experience with spine surgery is preferred; EMR Cerner is used.

Qualifications

• Must be NCCPA certified and BLS certified.
• DEA license required.
• Credentialing timeframe around 90 days.
• 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week with no nights or weekends.

This facility is seeking a Neurosurgery Physician Assistant (PA) for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Schedule

10 hour shifts, 4 days a week. No nights. No weekends - day off depends on operational need

Types of Cases

The provider will manage new patient consults, pre-operative evaluations, History & Physicals, inpatient rounding, surgical assisting, discharges, and post-operative follow-ups across both the clinic and hospital settings. Experience with spine surgery patients and inpatient neurosurgical care is highly preferred.
