UCHealth in Pueblo, Colorado is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Neurosurgery team on a full-time basis. The role combines outpatient clinic work with OR first assist and inpatient rounding in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in PA studies or NP program, Colorado PA licensure or NP licensure, PA-C certification or NP certification, and a DEA permit. Position includes a strong benefits package and relocation support.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in physician assistant studies.
• Unrestricted Colorado PA license.
• PA-C certification (NCCPA) required for hire and maintained.
• DEA permit to prescribe medications.
• Eligibility for Medicare/Medicaid provider status and no sanctions.
• NP pathway includes NP degree, NP license, and NP certification if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Join a collaborative team of four advanced practice providers in a fast-paced clinical and surgical practice in Pueblo, CO.
• Schedule: Monday--Friday.
• Practice Mix: 60% outpatient clinic, 40% OR first assist and inpatient rounding.
• Call: 8--10 days per month.
• EMR: EPIC system usage.

Master's degree in physician assistant studies

Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado

Physician Assistant Certification (PA-C)

Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit
