Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Neurosurgery APP team at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. The role focuses on inpatient neurosurgery with opportunities to expand to outpatient settings as the team grows.

New APPs participate in a 4–6 month training program led by senior APPs. The team collaborates with Neurosurgery physicians and residents to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant (accredited program).
• Licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in Michigan (MI).
• Certified by NCCPA (PA-C).
• Current BLS and other relevant life support certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient Neurosurgery duties and collaborate with Neurosurgery team.
• Manage ICU and floor patients with neurosurgical focus.
• Perform bedside procedures and assist in OR cases as first assistant.
• Respond to neurosurgery consults and participate in neurotrauma pager coverage.
• Educate residents and collaborate with health care team to ensure safe patient care.
