Job summary

Corewell Health's Neurosurgery APP team seeks a Physician Assistant to join the inpatient Neurosurgery unit with plans to expand to outpatient care as the team grows.

New APPs undergo a 4-6 month training program led by senior APPs, with opportunities to work independently after training. The role emphasizes collaboration with Neurosurgery physicians and NP colleagues in a busy academic medical environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Licensed PA in the State of Michigan (MI).
• PA-C certification (NCCPA) in good standing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage primary Neurosurgery ICU and floor patients.
• Perform bedside procedures.
• Complete neurosurgery consults.
• Provide OR first assist coverage.
• Neurotrauma pager coverage.
• Educate MSU/Spectrum Health Neurosurgery Residents.
• Collaborate with other providers for safe patient care.
