Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group in Vernon, CT, is expanding its Advanced Practitioner team. We are seeking a Surgical Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join neurosurgery with 1:1 training and OR participation.

The role includes clinic and OR time as 1st Assist for cranial and spine procedures, with a collaborative team and strong mentorship. Eligible candidates should hold PA/APRN credentials and have neuro or ortho experience.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a PA/APRN in CT.
• Certification or eligible for PA or ABP/RN board certification.
• RNFA certification required for APRN role.
• Prefer >1 year Surgical PA experience in Neurosurgery or Orthopedics; 1st Assist in OR preferred.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 training with neurosurgeons.
• 1st Assist in cranial and spine procedures in OR and clinic.
• Collaborate with Advanced Practitioners across neurosurgery.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and mentorship.
