Job summary

BAS HealthCare is looking for a Surgical Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice RN to join a dedicated Neurosurgery practice in Hartford, CT. This position offers a unique 1:1 training opportunity with an experienced neurosurgeon and involves performing advanced surgical procedures.

The ideal candidate should be licensed in Connecticut, have experience in surgical settings, and be ready to work in a full-time capacity with a structured four 10-hour shift schedule. Excellent benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Physician Assistant or APRN in Connecticut.
• Certification or eligibility for certification as a Physician Assistant or National Board Certification as an APRN required.
• Preferred minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Physician Assistant in a Neurosurgery or Orthopedic setting.

Responsibilities

• Join a growing Neurosurgery practice.
• Perform advanced surgical procedures, both cranial and spine.
• Assist in the OR with 1st Assist responsibilities.

Job Details

• Seeking a Surgical Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice RN (APRN) to join a growing Neurosurgery practice
• Unique 1:1 training opportunity with an experienced neurosurgeon
• OR Time with 1st Assist responsibilities
• Perform advanced surgical procedures, both cranial and spine, with specialization in skull base procedures
• Work alongside a team of advanced practitioners with extensive Neurosurgery experience
• Join an established practice and staff dedicated to taking time with their patients
• Full‑time position with four 10‑hour shifts, Monday through Friday; hours may vary dependent upon case load
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Master's program preferred
• Must be licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant or APRN in the state of Connecticut
• Certification or eligibility for certification as a Physician Assistant or National Board Certification as an APRN required
• Preferred minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Physician Assistant in a Neurosurgery or Orthopedic setting with 1st Assist in OR experience preferred
