Job summary

Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, seeks a Neurosurgery OR RN Clinical Coordinator. You will supervise neurosurgery OR staff, coordinate with physicians, and lead patient-focused nursing practices in a high-volume, multi-surgical environment.

We require a Colorado RN license (or compact), ASN/ADN with BSN plan, 3+ years RN experience, and BLS. BSN preferred; 3–5 years neurosurgery circulating experience is desirable. Competitive benefits and 40-hour weeks.

Qualifications

• ASN/ADN from an accredited program with ability to obtain BSN within four years of hire.
• Current Colorado RN license (or compact) with ability to obtain Colorado RN license.
• Current BLS certification (ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate).
• Minimum of three years RN experience.
• Preferred: BSN and 3–5 years Neurosurgery circulating experience; RN coordinator or Charge RN experience; specialty certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, lead, role model and coordinate personnel delivering patient-focused care.
• Supervise daily staffing and productivity in assigned area/department; ensure appropriate staff assignments.
• Serve as role model and mentor; supervise staff.
• Act as leadership resource; resolve patient and unit issues; escalate when needed.
• Participate in leadership activities, performance improvement and interviewing/selection.
• Identify methods to improve financial outcomes and patient care, and engage physicians.
