Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Nurse Clinician-Neurosurgery for the Lake Forest Hospital Neurosurgery clinic. This full-time, 40-hour work week runs Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with an hourly compensation range of $34.50 to $55.20.

The role includes direct patient care, assessments, documentation, coordination with physicians, and education for patients and staff. Illinois RN licensure and CPR/BLS are required, with BSN preferred for some roles.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Illinois RN licensure in good standing.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Provide pre-attending care, assess chief complaints and document findings.
• Perform routine nursing duties including phlebotomy, meds, vitals and specimen handling.
• Document interventions accurately in the patient record and maintain confidentiality.
• Collaborate with departments to coordinate patient care and communicate with external facilities.
• Triage incoming calls and prioritize patient needs using clinical assessment skills.
