Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks a Certified Medical Coder with outpatient Neurosurgery and E/M coding expertise to join our team in a hybrid environment. You will code outpatient neurosurgery physician services, apply ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes, and ensure modifier accuracy in line with payer requirements. This contract spans 13 weeks with potential for extension.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of related experience, active coding certifications, and EPIC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2 years of outpatient Neurosurgery coding experience.
• 2 years of outpatient E/M coding experience.
• Experience coding Neurology/Neurosurgery physician services.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, and coding modifiers.
• Active certification CPC/CCS/RHIT/CMC/CCA.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely coding for outpatient Neurosurgery physician services.
• Code outpatient E/M services.
• Apply ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes accurately.
• Assign appropriate CPT-4 procedure codes.
• Apply modifiers based on documentation and guidelines.
• Review clinical documentation to determine codes and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and payer requirements.
• Work in a hybrid environment while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
