CMC Neurosurgery is seeking a Medical Assistant to prepare patients for exams, assist with procedures, and support physicians in a busy practice. This full-time role operates Monday–Friday days, with no nights, weekends, or holidays.

Responsibilities include patient histories, vital signs, room prep, injections, phlebotomy, and phone/referral screening. Requirements include at least one year of Medical Assisting experience and MA certification (RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NRCMA, or ABR-OE).

Formación

• One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
• Medical Assistant Certification is required with acceptable certs: RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NRCMA, or ABR-OE.
• Recent grads must obtain certification within 60 days of employment, or within one year if already employed.
• If currently uncertified with one year of MA experience, certification must be obtained within one year of hire date.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms and maintain supplies/equipment including sterilization.
• Provide injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians in minor surgeries and physicals.
• Answer calls and screen referrals.
