SGMC Health Careers is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant/Registered Medical Assistant to assist the APRN and physician in a Neurosurgery setting. You will prepare patients, assist with procedures, and document in the EMR.

The role includes clerical duties, scheduling, and potential phlebotomy responsibilities. Qualifications include CMA/RMA certification, CPR, and at least one year of clinical experience, with preference for high school graduates and strong medical terminology skills.

Qualificações

• High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.
• CMA or RMA certification preferred.
• One-year experience in clinical area preferred. Current CPR certification.
• General office skills and medical terminology preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist APRN and physician by preparing patient for examination.
• Assist with patient care including procedures.
• Transcribe accurately into patient’s electronic medical record (EMR).
• Perform clerical duties and operate office equipment.
• Assist in scheduling and obtaining precertification for surgeries.
• May perform phlebotomy with no waived testing.
