MedStar Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Physician Practice - NeuroSurgery in Baltimore, MD. The role supports clinicians with patient exams, venipuncture, vaccine administration, and vital signs in a Monday–Friday schedule.

The position requires an MA program completion (or higher) with ambulatory care experience; certifications (CMA/RMA) within 1 year and CPR within 90 days are expected. The role may float to other sites as needed.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Less than 1 year experience in ambulatory care required; externship preferred.
• Certification within 1 year: CMA or RMA; CPR within 90 days.

Aufgaben

• Assist providers with patient preparation for examinations and minor procedures.
• Perform venipuncture, medication and vaccine administration, vital signs, and documentation.
• Document activities in EMR and support patient flow; back-up for team members as needed.
• Participate in daily team huddles and patient transitions of care; screen patients for barriers to care.
• Float to other sites within the system as needed; attend meetings and maintain safety standards.
