Job summary

Trinity Health's outpatient Neurology office in Connecticut is hiring a patient services specialist to ensure smooth clinic operations. You will greet patients, verify insurance, schedule appointments and handle registrations, copays and referrals as part of a busy front desk team.

Day-to-day duties include answering phones, processing calls, and coordinating with providers to support accurate charting and timely patient flow in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a medical office or billing preferred.
• Knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferred.
• Excellent keyboard skills; accuracy and dependability required.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and communicates with patients and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
• Answers phones in a timely, courteous, and professional manner with appropriate scripting.
• Schedules patient appointments per department protocols to maximize provider productivity.
• Performs patient registration, insurance verification, copay collection, pre-authorizations, referrals and chart prep.
