Job summary

Orlando Health seeks an Advanced Practice Provider for Neurosurgery to provide inpatient and outpatient management under physician supervision. You will participate in preoperative planning, operative care, and postoperative rounds, while maintaining independence in clinical decision-making.

The role requires NP/PA credentials with extensive Neurosurgery experience, ongoing certification, and strong collaborative skills within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• MN/MSN/DNP/PhD/DNS degree in nursing.
• Graduate of accredited physician assistant program.
• Three years' experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant in Neurosurgical care.

Responsibilities

• Operates with a high degree of independence with minimal physician supervision.
• Obtains detailed history and performs examinations, and orders diagnostic studies as needed.
• Develops diagnoses and collaborates with the team to implement treatment plans.
• Assists OR staff and anesthesiologists in perioperative preparation and positioning.
• Performs operative responsibilities and writes timely notes and orders.
• Participates in rounds, reviews, and quality initiatives.

Education

MN/MSN/DNP/PhD/DNS degree in nursing
