Job summary

Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA is seeking motivated Advanced Practice Providers to join a dynamic neurosurgery team. The role offers broad clinical exposure and opportunities to develop specialized expertise within an academic environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of Pennsylvania required.
• National Certification in Pennsylvania or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in Pennsylvania required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, and perioperative care to patients.
• Conduct patient evaluations, develop care plans, and manage preoperative and postoperative follow-up in collaboration with the clinical team.
• Perform inpatient rounds and complete timely, accurate clinical documentation.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, procedures, and recovery expectations.
• Assist with clinical interventions as appropriate to training, credentialing, and assigned specialty.
• Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams to support continuity and timely access to services.
• Participate in quality improvement, program development, education, and other departmental initiatives.
• Support the department's clinical, academic, and educational missions.

Education

AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or higher degree and PA licensure requirements
