Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Neuroscience Telemetry Stepdown unit (TCU 6C) located within the Edgewood Hospital.

This full-time, 36-hour-per-week Night shift (7P-7A) position focuses on evidence-based nursing care in a 26-bed neuroscience telemetry stepdown unit. The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing school and active licensure in the primary state of residence, with multi-state compact license preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate from accredited School of Nursing.
• If eligible, must have a Compact (multi-state) License in their primary state of residence.
• Licensed to practice nursing in the state where work is being performed.
• Meets contact hour requirements for licensure, including all state-required courses.
• Focus of education promotes nurses' ability to practice in clinical area assigned.
• Demonstrates knowledge of nursing theory, clinical practice standards, procedures, policies and competence in mathematical calculations associated with medication administration.
• Competent to independently perform safe nursing skills and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based clinical care to designated patients utilizing the nursing process.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care according to established standards.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to other licensed and unlicensed health care team members.
• Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with patients and families.
