Georgetown University Medical Center is seeking a Teaching Assistant for Basic Neuroscience I in the Department of Neuroscience. The TA assists with a two-hour course meeting twice weekly for 30+ graduate students, supporting recorded lectures, quizzes, exams, in-class assignments, and review sessions.

Responsibilities include answering student questions, grading exams, running review sessions, delivering a short in-class lecture, and coordinating with faculty to identify students needing help.

Formación

• MS or higher in Neuroscience or closely related field.
• Good general knowledge of Neuroscience.
• Be comfortable speaking in front of a class.
• Be comfortable using classroom software such as Canvas.

Responsabilidades

• Answer specific questions from students (email or outside of class).
• Help grade exams.
• Run part of review sessions during the semester.
• Give one in-class lecture (less than 15 minutes).
• Run Cahoots or Jeopardy events.
• Work with the faculty to identify any students who are struggling.
