Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking an Open Rank Research Services Laboratory Sciences Professional to join the Physiology and Biophysics department. The role involves working across labs on retina and visual system projects using ex-vivo/in-vivo electrophysiology, two-photon imaging, and computational modeling.

Responsibilities include patch-clamp, imaging, EOG, software development, and data analysis; collaboration with PIs and lab members is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in neuroscience, biophysics, bioengineering, psychobiology or related field
• Master's preferred in related field
• Two to three years of wet-lab experience for senior level preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform whole-cell patch-clamp electrophysiology
• Conduct two-photon calcium imaging of neuronal populations
• Record electroretinograms and analyze data
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment
• Develop software to support experiments
• Build biophysical and ML-based models
• Analyze single-cell and population neural data
• Collaborate with PIs and lab members
