Job summary

The University of Washington's Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology invites applications for a Research Scientist/Engineer 1 to join the Latimer Laboratory. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in neuroscience, chemistry, biology, or related field.
  • 1 year of experience with C. elegans handling and experimental approaches.
  • Ability to perform genetic crosses and behavior assays, including swimming and crawling behavior.
  • Organized and able to write thorough documentation of experiments and protocols
  • Possesses good communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform C. elegans husbandry, behavior/motility assessments, and genetic manipulations.
  • Perform digital image analysis.
  • Participate in Nanostring experiments.
