Job summary

Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) at USAMRICD, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, invites current or recent graduates with BS/MS/PhD in Neuroscience, Physiology, Pharmacology or Toxicology to engage in in vivo studies identifying therapeutics against chemical threat agents. Under mentorship, you will perform in vivo pharmacology/toxicology experiments, cell culture, ex vivo approaches, and immunohistochemistry, while contributing to manuscript preparation and grant writing.

Qualifications

• Eligible candidates are pursuing or possess a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree in Neuroscience, Physiology, Pharmacology, Toxicology or related STEM field.
• Degree must have been received within 5 years of the start date.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute in vivo pharmacology studies to assess therapeutics against chemical toxicity.
• Participate in cell culture studies and ex vivo experiments.
• Perform immunohistochemistry and microscopy on brain tissue; conduct behavioral assessments.
• Prepare and present manuscripts and conference findings; assist with grant writing.
