Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Patient Care Assistant or Medical Assistant within the last two years.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Proficiency in venipuncture and phlebotomy preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and completes intake and check-in/out processes.
• Answers phones, schedules appointments, and routes inquiries.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare rooms for provider visits.
• Takes vital signs and records in the EMR.
• Maintains patient privacy per HIPAA standards and handles patient communications.
