Fairview Health Services in Edina, MN is seeking a Nursing Station Technician for the M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital. This .7 FTE role covers 8-hour day shifts with every other weekend, challenging the Neuroscience IMC unit with close patient observation and interdisciplinary teamwork.

The NST will assist the nurse, manage desk communications, and support care coordination while ensuring accurate documentation in the EHR. Training opportunities and benefits are provided.

Competenze

• Basic Life Support certification required or able to obtain during OnTrack program.
• OnTrack Nursing Assistant or equivalent Fairview program completion preferred.
• Six months of direct care experience in healthcare settings is acceptable.
• Current enrollment in LPN/RN program with clinical rotation is eligible.

Mansioni

• Assist professional caregiver in patient care delivery and transport.
• Set up and maintain patient rooms and stock supplies.
• Coordinate communication on the unit and with other departments.
• Use EHR for documentation and charting under RN/MD supervision.
• Prepare charts for admission, discharge, and transfer.
• Provide basic patient care tasks (hygiene, positioning, feeding, vitals).
• Answer calls and relay patient requests promptly and courteously.
