Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham, AL, is seeking a registered nurse for the Neuroscience/Neurosurgical unit. You will provide direct patient care during night shifts (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) on a 3x12 schedule and participate in a rotation that includes every 3rd weekend.

The unit cares for complex neurologic patients with a strong focus on education and teamwork. The role emphasizes clinical excellence, patient advocacy, and collaboration with surgeons and the nursing staff to improve

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Maintains current State of Alabama RN license or valid eNLC license.
• BLS/Healthcare Provider certification required; ACLS/NRP/PALS may be required for certain areas.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and develops an individualized plan of care.
• Collaborates with the interprofessional team to manage patient care.
• Provides patient and family advocacy and education.
• Demonstrates competency in nursing skills and use of unit equipment.
