Job summary

AbbVie Inc. seeks a Scientific Director to provide medical and scientific input into Neuroscience strategic and operational Medical Affairs activities, including payer/provider interactions and data generation.

The role collaborates with commercial teams on brand strategies, supports launches, and partners with clinical development on priority trials, with hybrid work based in Lake County, IL.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in the sciences with advanced degree preferred.
• 5–7+ years in pharma or related field with strong understanding of trial design and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent oral and written communication; ability to present complex data clearly.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to development of brand strategies for Neuroscience portfolio.
• Lead and execute Medical Affairs initiatives for Parkinson’s asset launch.
• Develop and drive Medical Education/Advisory Board and engagement plans.
• Lead internal training activities and generate clinical/scientific data.
• Manage budgets for assigned projects and coordinate cross-functional activities.
• Review complex promotional materials for regulatory compliance.
