Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Neuroscience Med Surg unit. This full-time role is 0.9 FTE (36 hours weekly) with day shift 7a-7p and a welcome bonus eligible up to $35,000.

You will provide patient-centered care using the nursing process, collaborate with physicians and the care team, administer medications, and participate in ongoing quality improvement and education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting.
• RN licensure in state required.
• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care in accordance with nursing process and policies.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in CPR/code team activities as appropriate.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and discharge care.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards to protect patients and staff.
