Job summary

Lutheran Hospital of Indiana is seeking a Registered Nurse for Neuroscience Med Surg to join a 24-bed unit focused on stroke, seizures, and neuro post-op care. The RN provides patient-centered care using the nursing process, coordinating with physicians and the care team to ensure optimal outcomes in a supportive environment.

The role offers a part-time (.6 FTE, 24 hours/week) daytime schedule (7a-7p) with a welcome bonus eligibility up to $12,500 and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
• RN licensure in good standing and Basic Life Support (BCLS) required
• ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nursing process.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Collaborates with physicians and the care team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions as appropriate.
• Documents patient care thoroughly in the medical record and ensures accuracy of orders.
