The role supports cellular and molecular studies in motor circuit formation using mice, employing techniques from molecular biology to electrophysiology.

The ideal candidate holds a BA/BS in biological sciences, with basic lab experience; neuroscience background is a plus.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in biological sciences with basic laboratory techniques required (relevant coursework may count).
• Background in Neuroscience is a plus but not required; strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with transgenic mouse lines and perform mouse surgical procedures.
• Conduct basic molecular biology experiments (PCR, cloning, etc.).
• Prepare tissue for analysis and perform microscopy.
• Prepare complex chemical solutions and media for experiments.
• Maintain experimental records following standard lab practices.
• Record results and assist with additional duties as needed.
