Thisiscny in Syracuse is seeking a Research Support Specialist to join the Neuroscience & Physiology group. The role provides technical support for research lab(s) with experimental design guidance from senior staff.

You will work independently, maintaining detailed notes and records of procedures and findings. Responsibilities include performing experiments, data analysis, record-keeping, administrative support, and lab maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience or related fields.
• Prior experience working in a lab.

Responsibilities

• Perform experiments, data analysis, record-keeping and lab maintenance.
• Provide administrative support and assist with lab maintenance.
• Prepare tissue samples and perform basic analyses (gel, PCR).
• Operate fluorescence/confocal microscopy when required.
