Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Inpatient Staff Nurse for the CDH Neuro Intermediate (3B) on the full-time day shift, 7am-7:30pm with rotating weekends. The unit provides care for acute neurological and spine disorders.

Minimum requirements include a BSN, IL RN license, and BLS, plus strong interpersonal and collaborative skills as well as analytic abilities. ADN may be acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within three years of employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others.
• Strong analytic abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to acutely ill patients using the nursing process.
• Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care in collaboration with the health team.
• Maintain ANA standards of professional nursing practice.
