Job summary

Assistant or Associate Professor (tenure-track) at UNLV's Department of Brain Health invites applications for a 9-month faculty appointment. The successful candidate will lead a neuroscience research program with emphasis on large-scale informatics and AI methods, including digital biomarkers development and validation.

The role includes mentoring graduate students in the Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Ph.D.

Qualifications

• PhD in Neuroscience or closely related field by start date.
• Strong research portfolio in neuroscience and informatics.
• Experience with AI methods and digital biomarker development.
• Ability to secure extramural funding and publish in peer-reviewed journals.

Responsibilities

• Develop a vigorous independent research program in neuroscience with informatics/AI focus.
• Mentor graduate students in the UNLV Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Ph.D. program and supervise research projects.
• Teach and contribute to courses in the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine.
• Collaborate with existing Brain Health program strengths such as Clinical Trials Observatory and Biomarker Observatory.
