Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in Missouri seeks a field-based Pharmaceutical Sales Representative to promote products aligned with our sales strategy within the assigned territory, building relationships with psychiatrists and Community Mental Health Centers.

You will analyze the local market, collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day activities, manage travel and budgets, and work to secure product access and reimbursement while maintaining compliance with laws and company policies.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
  • Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience preferred (may consider an “Associate” role otherwise).
  • Atypical antipsychotic and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
  • Specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management preferred.
  • Reimbursement experience preferred.
  • Existing relationships (or within 24 months) with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in territory preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license; clean driving history.
  • Self-starter; goal/results driven; “hunter” mentality.
  • Strong territory relationships/knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within the territory.
  • Use advanced selling and negotiation skills to communicate effectively with target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement in institutional systems.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Complete required monitoring and reporting (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet reasonable industry-standard credentialing requirements.
  • Additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Education

BS or BA with GPA > 3.0
