Job summary

Providence Swedish in Seattle is seeking qualified technologists to perform long-term video EEG monitoring in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and related care areas. Responsibilities include Wada testing and radiopharmaceutical injections for seizure patients, with collaboration across monitoring units and operating rooms.

The ideal candidate has ABRET certification, BLS, and several years of electroneurodiagnostic experience, including long-term video EEG.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a two year electroneurodiagnostic technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation.
• Two years of college in a related field and/or equivalent formal training approved by the Medical Director.
• Upon hire: National Certification from ABRET.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 5 years of electroneurodiagnostics and evoked potential studies.
• 2 years of long term video EEG monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Perform long-term video EEG monitoring using scalp and intracranial placed electrodes.
• Perform Wada testing and inject radiopharmaceutical for seizure patients.
• Collaborate with Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, CCU, OR for ECOG and cortical stimulation studies.

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor or Lead Technologist, utilizes scalp and intracranial placed electrodes to perform long-term video EEG monitoring for patients in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, critical care and other patient care areas, in the operating room for electrocorticography (ECOG), and cortical stimulation studies. Performs sodium Amytal (Wada) testing, and injects radiopharmaceutical for seizure patients. Providence Swedish caregivers are not simply valued - they're invaluable. Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of a two year electroneurodiagnostic technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation.

Pay Range

$48.67 - $74.57
