Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking an electroneurodiagnostic technologist to perform long-term video EEG monitoring in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and other patient care areas, including ECOG procedures and Wada testing. The role involves managing intracranial electrode sets and coordinating radiopharmaceutical injections for seizure patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a two year electroneurodiagnostic technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation.
• Two years of college in a related field and/or equivalent formal training approved by the Medical Director.
• National Certification from American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• 5 years of electroneurodiagnostics and evoked potential studies.
• 2 years of long term video EEG monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Perform long-term video EEG monitoring using scalp and intracranial placed electrodes.
• Conduct monitoring in Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, critical care, and operating room for ECOG and cortical stimulation studies.
• Perform sodium Amytal (Wada) testing and inject radiopharmaceutical for seizure patients.

Job description

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor or Lead Technologist, utilizes scalp and intracranial placed electrodes to perform long-term video EEG monitoring for patients in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, critical care and other patient care areas, in the operating room for electrocorticography (ECOG), and cortical stimulation studies. Performs sodium Amytal (Wada) testing, and injects radiopharmaceutical for seizure patients.

Required qualifications:
