Job summary

Providence Swedish Medical Center is seeking an experienced EKG Technician to perform inpatient and outpatient electrocardiograms, treadmill tests, Holter and event monitoring, and related studies on-site at Swedish First Hill in Seattle. Beyond testing, you will coordinate schedules, handle office duties, and contribute to staff training.

You may also cover Lead responsibilities in the Lead Technician's absence, within a patient-focused care environment.

Qualifications

• Current BLS - American Heart Association required at hire.
• 3 years of EKG experience preferred.
• Experience with Holter and event recorders and cardiac stress testing.
• Office experience, typing, and hospital setting with patient contact.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient and outpatient electrocardiograms, treadmill tests, Holter and event monitors, and other technical studies.
• Identify and assess cardiac rhythm changes.
• Coordinate schedules and perform office duties; assist with training of new employees; operate fax machines, computers, and multiple phone lines.

This position is responsible for performing inpatient and outpatient electrocardiograms, treadmills, holter and event monitors, and other technical studies. These tests require the ability to identify and assess cardiac rhythm changes. Position also performs schedule coordination; office duties, training of new employees, as well as the use of fax machines, computers and multi-phone lines. Position may also require the ability to perform designated Lead duties in the absence of the Lead Technician.

Required Qualifications:

• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of a Medical Assistant program
• 3 years of EKG experience
• Experience in Holter and event recorders, and cardiac stress testing
• Office experience, typing, experience in hospital setting with patient contact
