Job summary

Santa Clara Valley Healthcare (SCVH) seeks an Electroencephalographic Technologist to operate and maintain EEG, evoked potential, nerve conduction EMG equipment to perform standard and special neurophysiologic examinations across our hospital system. Under medical direction, you will join surgical monitoring teams, perform long and short-term monitoring, and train staff.

ABRET certification or EEG program graduation (or 3 years experience) is required. This role supports SCVMC, O'Connor, St.

Qualifications

Certification of registration as an Electroencephalographic Technologist (ABRET).
Graduation from an EEG technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation or three years’ EEG/Evoked Potentials experience.
Ability to operate, calibrate and repair neurophysiological laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

Operates, calibrates and makes minor repairs to neurophysiological equipment.
Performs surgical monitoring for EEG and evoked potentials during Neurosurgery, ENT and Orthopedic cases.
Obtains standard EEG recordings and conducts long-term/video EEG monitoring.
Assists in training and orientation of new technologists and extra staff.
